Solid state drive (SSD) based smallest USB 3.0 has been launchedinto the market by LaCie FastKey named because only a smallthumb-sized adults, but much thinner. FastKey also be considered one of the first USB 3.0-based thumbdrive. Most thumbdrive in the market only supports USB 2.0 is much slower.
LaCie FastKey comes in an aluminum casing and offers the largest capacity of 128GB, which is about half of the largest-capacity SSD in the market, the Samsung 470. With a size of only1.1 inches by 4.1 inches by 0.4 inches, and weighs less than 1.2ounces, the drive is small enough to be tied to a keychain for on-the-go use.
LaCie says that Fastkey also uses 256-bit AES encryption toprotect your data in case of loss or theft. This is a good ideaconsidering the device is rather interesting for the unique designand characteristics.
Before you have to worry about losing it, however, you may worryabout getting it, because its price is not cheap at all. FastKeyavailable now in 30GB, 60GB, and 120GB capacities priced at $150, $ 250, and $ 480.
